Im Rahmen des Projektes „Erlesene Natur“ ist in Ossendorf, Kreis Höxter, ein weiterer GPS-Erlebnispfad eingeweiht worden. Die technische Umsetzung des Pfades erfolgte durch INTEWO. Neben Smartphone Applikationen für iOS und Android gibt es auch eine universelle, sogenannte Web Applikation. An insgesamt 12 Erlebnisstationen werden interaktive Informationen wie Bilder und Hörgeschichten über die Naturlandschaft rund um den Heinberg in Ossendorf bereitgestellt.

Today INTEWO | World Habitat Society GmbH is proud to announce the foundation of a newly formed international consortium. INTEWO + PARTNERS is a unique consortium that has been specifically created to support and develop cultural and natural tourism projects within the Arabian Peninsula and East Africa. The consortium combines experienced European organizations with expert professionals from the fields of architecture, museum and exhibit design, communication media production, marketing, environment and tourism. The consortium is partnered with a network of local specialists who together bridge intercultural and scientific knowledge with local business practices so that INTEWO + PARTNERS can undertake and realize complete projects across the region.
The core of the consortium is constituted by INTEWO’s offices in Muscat (National Sustainable Development LLC) and Germany (World Habitat Society GmbH). Together with the internationally renowned partners Dr. Ulrich Hermanns, Studio Michele de Lucchi and RLS jakobsmeyer GmbH the consortium can conceive and implement sustainable projects to the highest worldwide standards.
The consortium grants for creative and professional performances and close relationship of all competences, providing work as renowned experts in the fields of:
Architecture and interior design, including the planning and realization of museum buildings, information and visitor centers, museum and exhibit concepts and design, showroom design, as well as media production and communication.
Services include project research, definition and management, feasibility studies, budgeting and financial project-management plus scientific research (esp. archaeology, history, regional studies, art, geology, natural history, tourism and intercultural relationships).
The consortium is following a visitor oriented approach, taking into account the inclusion of local competences and partnerships, environmentally considerate touristic development, future oriented technologies, sustainability assessment and design, barrier-free environments, collection-management, operating and revenue planning as well as media-works.

Think tank to develop sustainable concepts in Oman

To respond to Oman’s growing need to develop projects that can enhance the awareness of its natural environment and cultural heritage a consortium of Omani, German and Italian consultants have been instituted that can provide services for the conception, design and execution of projects for museums, information and edutainment centres that will further increase Oman’s identity and attractiveness in the Middle East.
The consortium is represented by the Omani company INTEWO and is already engaged in advising and conceiving innovative ideas that embrace tourism, education, sustainable architecture and new media technologies. All projects are aimed at creating benefits for both national and local economies that in turn will support social and educational improvement within the countries regions.
Each partner in the consortium brings specific knowledge and international experiences that when combined bring to Oman the most contemporary thinking and creativity in helping realize the ambitious plans of the tourism sector.
During a recent meeting in Muscat the management and key executives of the affiliated firms visited main attractions and the architectural masterpieces in Oman. A workshop and discussions on the diverse cultural and natural heritage in the context of sustainable development, tourism and education trends and services complemented the expert’s visit.
